Insert Row
If you have inadvertently skipped a line on the parcel, this option will create a blank line in the middle of the parcel. The blank line is inserted BEFORE the line which contains the cursor. Move the cursor to the line after the missing line and press Insert Row a new blank line will appear and the later lines are shuffled down one. You will have to insert the missing line and use an unused point number. Don't worry if the point number is out of sequence, the point numbers are arbitrary and are altered later when the parcels are joined.

Delete Row
If a parcel line is entered by mistake, it can be erased by using the Delete Row button. This option will erase the line which the cursor is on. Be careful when using this option as there is no second chance. When a line is erased, the point number sequence will be broken and must be corrected by changing the point numbers. Don't worry about the missing point, the actual points numbers are not important as long as they correctly indicate the way that lines are connected.

Check Lot
This option will compute the parcel close and display the parcel area and misclose on the top of the screen. This can be handy when checking if all the data is entered correctly. Before this function is used, the last point number of the close has to be set to the first point number so that the parcel is closed.. Where a parcel contains an extra ‘close’ (an easement) the misclose is displayed on the row below the standard close misclose. Where there are multiple loops, it will display the loop with the greatest error. The error is only displayed if it is greater than 15mm.

Compute Line
This will will compute a missing bearing and/or distance if the field is left blank. It will fill up to two fields if the calculation is possible such as bearing and distance, two bearings or two distances. If a bearing and distance is needed they do no have to be on the same line. This is useful for easements where all dimensions are not shown on the plan.

Reverse Bearing
When a entering bearings from a plan, sometimes a parcel bearing is shown reversed, this is common when parcels share lines. Enter the bearing as shown on the plan, then press reverse bearing button. To reverse any bearing, move the cursor to the line containing the bearing and press F6. Although most surveyors can perform this 'bearing reversal' in their heads, this program is designed so that non-survey personnel can perform the parcel entry. This function allows the bearing to be entered exactly as shown on the plan, and reversed later.

Save
If there are curved boundaries in the parcel, the program will automatically compute the radial lines to the centre from each end of each curved line and add them to the parcel with a line code of 998.

Across Road Connections
If the close is accepted, the program asks for the widths of any adjacent roads. Where two adjacent boundary lines have a road tag (codes 20-40), then the program will highlight each line in turn and ask for the road width. A connection will then be calculated from the junction of each road pair, and these will be added to the end of the close data.
If an across road connection is not wanted, then the road width for those lines should be entered as a V (variable width), or a N (none).
